SULLIVAN WARD STAFF RAISES OVER $16,000 DURING DENIM DAYS

Southfield, MI, May 2016 -- “Casual Friday” is an ongoing practice in the modern business world, but the staff at Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C., has elevated dressing down on Fridays to a decidedly more meaningful level. Through their participation in “Denim Days,” employees at the respected Michigan law firm have contributed in excess of $16,000 to a wide range of local charities.
“Denim Days,” which began in March, 2010, works as follows: Each month, a different local charity is selected from a list of staff suggestions and designated as the charitable recipient of the month. Employees who donate $10 are permitted to wear jeans to work on Fridays during that month. Since the program’s inception, Denim Day proceeds have supported approximately fifty-two distinct charities locally and regionally. Over the years, the staff has donated to causes including Alternatives for Girls, Wigs 4 Kids, Bedside Healers, Wounded Warriors, Mandy’s Place, Arbor Day Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and many others.
“The firm is extremely proud of our staff’s generosity,” said Sullivan Ward COO Lee C. Patton. “Their example serves to illustrate the positive impact each of us can have on our communities.”
In addition to the Denim Days program, Sullivan Ward’s staff also extends their generosity by participating in numerous book, clothing, and gift drives. They are also heavily involved in the Southfield Goodfellows, a local charity which supports Southfield and Lathrup Village residents during the holidays and throughout the year.
